Practise the bus trial before the real one
A copy of the bus and minibus trial ground at Budhathoki Driving School, Radhe Radhe, Madhyapur Thimi. Drive the school's Eicher bus through every test, in order, and an examiner marks you as you go.

The tests, in order
Start in the box, go round to the figure 8 and finish back in the box. 70 of 100 marks to pass. Some mistakes cost marks; some fail the test at once.
1. Figure 8
Round the left side first, with all four tyres inside the yellow lines. One touch costs marks; a second fails the test. 20 marks
2. Speed breakers
Five humps in a row. Cross each one slowly, without stalling the engine. 10 marks
3. U-turn
Signal right, then turn round the island and stay inside your lane. Touching the line fails it. 10 marks
4. Traffic signal
The light turns red as you come out of the U-turn. Stop before the stop line and wait for green. 15 marks
5. Ramp
Stop on the climb with the whole bus on the slope, hold 2 seconds, then move off without rolling back. Stop again on the way down, hold, and never cross the line ahead. 20 marks
6. L-back
Turn into the bay, stop before the back line, then reverse out. Finish by parking inside the start box. 15 marks
The last 10 marks are for driving overall: speed in the yard, knocks and cones. These are practice marks, set by the game's examiner; the real trial board marks on the day.
Help while you practise
Wheel path guides
Lines on the ground show where each tyre will run as you steer, forward or in reverse. They turn amber near a line and red where a tyre would touch it, so you can correct in time.
Close-up map
The map shows the yard round the bus, with the bus to scale and each tyre green, amber or red.
Side mirrors
Both mirrors show the lines and the rear tyres, as you use them in the L-back and on the ramp.
Controls
On a phone, turn the wheel at the bottom left and press the pedals on the right. The buttons on the sides work the parking brake, reverse, indicators and camera. With a gamepad, the left stick steers and the triggers are gas and brake.
This is practice, not the official trial, and it does not replace lessons with an instructor. Your runs are not saved or put on a leaderboard.
