It is made by Ekendra Lamsal as a personal project. - Platforms: any modern web browser; installable as an app from the browser and playable offline after the first load. An Android app is planned. - Controls: on-screen steering wheel and pedals on touch screens, keyboard on a computer, or a gamepad - Traffic keeps left and the buses are right-hand drive, as in Nepal - Language: English, with Nepali on the buses and signs, and conductor calls in Nepali, English or both ## Routes - Route 4, Kathmandu city: a city bus with six stops from Ratnapark to Kalimati, traffic lights at 16 junctions, zebra crossings and the Ring Road. The city is laid out like Kathmandu, with real place names for the stops. The road is a shortened version of the real one with the towns in their real order. About 1 km of Lakeside Marg has been checked against photos taken on the street. Play: https://bsn.ekendraonline.com/?route=lakeside ## Gameplay - Stop inside the yellow box at each bus stop, open the doors, let passengers off and on, and keep to the timetable - Score: fares and ride comfort, minus damage, delay, traffic police fines and penalties (red lights, not giving way at zebra crossings, hitting people or animals) - Buses: a five-speed manual gearbox with an automatic clutch or a clutch pedal that can stall, or an electric bus with regenerative braking. Suspension rolls and pitches the body - Road realism: potholes with puddles, unmarked speed breakers, mud and gravel, a landslide, roadworks with a flagman, motorbikes that filter past, and villagers and stray dogs who move only for the horn - Sound and calls: a musical pressure horn, a conductor whose calls about oncoming trucks and narrow passes appear on screen in Nepali, English or both, with a whistle and knocks, air brakes and engine sound - Speed limits: 40 km/h in the city and on hill roads, 50 km/h on the Ring Road, 80 km/h on the open Terai highway, 30 km/h in the border bazaar and in Lakeside - Rain with slippery roads and wipers, day and night, five cameras including the driver's seat with a decorated cab ## Profiles and leaderboards - Online leaderboards per route, all time and this week, under a nickname - Sign in with Google (optional) to keep the profile, scores and leaderboard place on any device.
